On its special Tuesday night, ABC brings audiences to their world of magic in the crime drama, Deception, starring Jack Cutmore-Scott and Ilfenesh Hadera, with Episode 7: Sacrifice 99 to Fool One. Get ready to fight crime and learn a few magic tricks alongside magician Cameron Black (Scott) and FBI agent Kay Daniels (Hadera).
At the prison, Jonathan has a weird, sexy dream about The Femme Fatale (Stephanie Corneliussen). Teasing him, she wants to know what Jonathan will do to her when they meet. After waking up, Jonathan makes a major discover and realizes his brother is her next target.
Kay and Mike Alvarez (Amaury Nolasco) investigate the crime scene and find Cameron’s missing cell. He has been kidnapped by the Femme Fatale. Mike suggests that in order to find an illusionist, they should get their own illusionist.
Released from the prison, Jonathan is back at the Archive, meeting Jordan (Justin Chon), Gunter (Vinnie Jones), and Dina (Lenora Crichlow). He manages to anger Dina after making fun of Mike’s naiveness. Kay doesn’t even trust him, warning him not to escape.
During the investigation, Jonathan spots a secret message from The Femme Fatale. A nearby bystander is actually filming them and starts to run. The bystander yells out that she’s just playing the rules of a game.
The bystander reveals she was looking for points for her interactive mobile game, like Pokemon Go. The next stage of the game is set at a secret mansion, where contestants have to solve a puzzle. In order to find Cameron, Kay interrogates the game creator while Jonathan attempts to solve the puzzle.
After solving the puzzle, Jonathan manages to hand out a major clue to the Femme Fatale. She locks him in the room and escapes on a boat. Kay joins the chase and is forced to arrest Jonathan, who recklessly set off the alarms.
While Kay gets a yelling from her boss, Mike secretly takes Jonathan to Dina, instead of handing him back to the prison. Jonathan takes the chance and makes peace with Dina, admitting he still has feelings for her. When the game creator realizes he was a pawn, he gives up everything he knows about Femme Fatale.
Realizing the Femme Fatale is planning a diamond heist, Jonathan and Kay arrive at the gala party. They manage to stop the thief from grabbing the diamond, but the lights are suddenly turned off. During the scuffle, Jordan is knocked out by the same thief Jonathan grabbed.
Kay is outside when the Femme Fatale walks away with the diamond. Following Jonathan’s alarm brace, Kay holds the Femme Fatale at gunpoint and gets her face captured on the surveillance camera. The Femme Fatale though still has one more trick up her sleeve.
The alarms to the vault have been triggered and set off the air systems, With the air being sucked out of the room, Jonathan discovers the diamond thief was Cameron disguised all along.
Deception returns on on its regular Sunday night and time at 10pm on ABC.
