Netflix presents the teaser trailer for the upcoming action/vigilante drama, Marvel’s The Punisher, starring the visceral Jon Bernthal. Watch as the Marvel anti-hero brings in the vigilante justice as he delivers bone-crunching violence, blows, and broken limbs.
Taking place after the events of Daredevil Season 2, Frank Castle is still haunted and hunted by the murder of his family. He continues his violent crusade against the criminal underworld. Soon everyone will come to know him as The Punisher.
Check out our 5 thoughts on the Demolition promo for Marvel’s The Punisher here:
5) The Lost Defender?
Audiences got a taste of Luke Cage at the end of the second season of Daredevil. It’s obvious Netflix is eager to promote the next phase in the Marvel series. Viewers will be able to catch the trailer at the end of The Defenders, which puts together Matt Murdock aka Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand aka The Iron Fist (Finn Jones).
4) Karen Page Will Be Back!
Deborah Ann Woll had on-screen chemistry in her scenes with the Wolf of Wall Street actor. It makes sense Karen Page would play an integral role, like how Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple is a major connective piece to the other Netflix dramas. We’ll see how Karen Page’s arc continues after The Defenders.
3) The Ensemble Cast!
Jason R. Moore, Michael Nathanson, Daniel Webber, Amber Rose Revah, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Jaime Ray Newman, and Ben Barnes have also joined the cast.
2) War Crime?
Hannibal writer/executive producer Steve Lightfoot will serve as showrunner in The Punisher. The trailer hints Frank Castle may have done some dirty deeds while serving in the military. After showing up on Daredevil, I wonder if we’ll see Clancy Brown (Starship Troopers) again as Ray Schoonover in a flashback!
1) It’s A Revenge Drama!
In the trailer, the Punisher is surrounded by dead bodies as he demolishes a floor with a sledgehammer. We get brief glimpses of the gun-toting vigilante in action. Towards the end, the Punisher is revealed in full! I’m so hooked right now! I need more!
Marvel’s The Defenders is now available to bing-watch on Netflix. Marvel’s The Punisher will arrive in Netflix in the Fall 2017.
