The popular superhero drama, Legends of Tomorrow, has its Season 3 premiere date locked for The CW Network. We’re very excited for the return of Caity Lotz as the DC Comics superhero White Canary and Dominic Purcell as her reformed crime-fighting partner.
The second season followed Sara Lance (Lotz) and the rest of the Legends dealing with the demise of The Time Masters. With new members Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Steel (Nick Zano) joining the team, they never realized The Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher) was re-writing history. Recruiting past enemies, The Reverse-Flash has lined up Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), and Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) to take down our misfit heroes.
[SPOILERS Ahead] We have 5 reasons why we’re excited for the third season of Legends of Tomorrow:
5. New Time Slot!
As we previously mentioned, the CW has announced the fall lineup premiere schedule. Landing on a new night and time slot, The Flash kicks off Tuesday nights at 8pm before Legends of Tomorrow follows up at 9pm. Will the team fix the screwed-up timeline after creating an anomaly of their own!
4. I’m The Captain
In the second season finale, Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) passed over the mantle to White Canary and officially named her as captain of the Waverider. In the upcoming third season, Hunter has now established a Time Bureau of his own, which will police the Legends and their reckless actions. But will Hunter become the Big Bad the others will have to confront?
3. A New Recruit!

According to Entertainment Weekly, Tala Ashe (American Odyssey) will be joining the cast as a new series regular. Ashe plays Zari Adrianna Tomaz, a new member of the team aboard the Waverider. In the DC Comics lore, Zari Adrianna Tomaz is the Muslim-American superhero from 2030 known as Isis.
2. The Guest Star!
Johnathon Schaech was a perfect choice to play the gruff wester gunfighter, Jonah Hex. How will the Legends react when they meet P.T. Barnum (Billy Zane), which has been confirmed by EW. Part showman, part businessman, P.T. Barnum is the founder of Barnum & Bailey Circus. You should listen to Billy Zane, he’s a cool guy! It’s a Titanic reunion between Garber and Zane!
1.Amaya!
Displaced from time, Vixen (Sellers) will be sticking around with the team. How long will she stay is different matter because Amaya Jiwe is meant to sacrifice herself so that her granddaughter can live and inherit her powers. Will the timeline put an end to the forbidden romance between Steel and Vixen?
Season 2 of Legends of Tomorrow is now on Netflix. The third season is scheduled to begin Tuesday October 10th.
