USA Network airs the first season finale to the Suits spinoff series, Pearson, starring Gina Torres and Morgan Spector, with Episode 10: The Fixer. After leaving her New York firm behind, former lawyer Jessica Pearson (Torres) jumps into the Chicago world of politics.
Breaking down, Nick (Simon Kassianides) confesses everything about the murder to Keri Allen (Bethany Joy Lenz). After seeing the gun in his belt, Keri offers to help. As the protests fire up with Angela (Chantel Riley), The Mayor (Spector) argues with Jessica but Derrick (Eli Goree) offers a way out.
During the protest, one of the police officers was hit in the head with a bottle. With the clock ticking, Bobby needs to find a way to settle a deal. Keri then reveals to Jessica what Nick confessed, mentioning a tape. Jessica stalls Nick from going out in the open and confessing to murder.
The Mayor lashes out at his wife when she starts discussing their divorce. Derrick confronts Yoli Castillo (Isabel Arraiza) about the kiss they had, but she calls it a peck. While Bobby comes up with a plan, Nick hands over his gun to Jessica.
Derrick knows the Mayor is lying when Pat McGann (Wayne Duvall) donates the new land propter to the homeless residents. Bobby threatens Pat to make sure he will keep his word before the shoveling. Nick writes down everything he knows in Jessica’s notepad.
Jeff (D.B. Woodside) makes a surprise return and is ambushed by men in suits. The Mayor offers a three-month deal to Angela, but the two end up in a standoff. After reading his statement, Jessica notices Nick’s confession in missing important details.
Jessica and Angela have their own confrontation after she lost her nursing job. While Yoli continues to avoid Derrick, Jessica offers Angela a seat in the council. Jessica isn’t going to betray Angela because she’s family. After Keri accepts her new job, Jessica finds Jeff and Nick in their apartment.
Jeff reveals that their apartment is bugged; others are listening to them. While Jeff and Jessica argue, Bobby is trying to stop a riot. Jeff realizes he has to end his relationship with Jessica.
Bobby’s wife doesn’t a divorce but she also doesn’t want to stay with him. The Mayor makes a speech to the protesters, promising them a housing project. They can vote him out if he doesn’t fulfill on his promise.
After Angela ends the protests, Jessica makes a call to Jeff’s friend. As the FBI gathers intel on Jessica and Keri, Nick finds his gun. Jessica destroys everything she has on file on Nick and Bobby.
Jessica confronts Bobby about Nick confessing to a murder he didn’t commit. Once she clears everything up, Jessica is done being the Mayor’s errand girl.
Pearson continues Wednesdays 10pm on USA Network.
