USA Network continues the highly anticipated Suits spinoff series, Pearson, starring Gina Torres and Morgan Specter, with Episode 5: The Former City Attorney. After leaving her New York firm behind, former lawyerJessica Pearson (Torres) jumps into the Chicago world of politics.
Five years before becoming mayor, Bobby Golec (Specter) was having an affair with Keri Allen (Bethany Joy Lenz). This affair occurred when the former City Attorney was stealing money and removing evidence. Keri Allen wanted to be a whistle bowler but she didn’t know the right thing would cost her a lawsuit with the former City Attorney.
Real estate developer Pat McGann (Wayne Duvall) reveals he has history with Bobby’s family. He made a union boss disappear after his deal with Bobby’s father. Now Bobby in return has to work of Pat as he rises through the ranks of Mayor.
Meanwhile, Keri Allen (Bethany Joy Lenz) is having problems of her own with the Deputy Mayor. The Deputy Mayor wants a street named after his pick, Frank Hampton. When Yoli Castillo (Isabel Arraiza) and Derrick (Eli Goree) start looking into the name, they discover some bad history.
In a deal reminiscent of Amazon and New York, Chicago is in a race to get the top selling tech giant. Yoli Castillo (Isabel Arraiza) and Derrick (Eli Goree)have to convince the millennial tech guru that Chicago is the place to be. Yoli ends up making the tech guru mad, costing the city thousands of jobs.
Derrick mentions to the tech guru that he’s going to need a public relations firm to help his brand. If the Mayor lifts the taxes by ten percent, the tech guru gets to put Chicago in the top three. Even though Chicago gets a bump, Derrick is still mad with Yoli.
After hearing how Yoli almost screwed the deal, Jessica wants to know she shouldn’t fire her. Yoli says you can’t teach passion. Jessica gives her one last shot.
Realizing she needs help, Jessica makes a call to New York. Keri discovers that Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) has found a job for the former City Attorney. Just because he has a shy job in exile, that does not mean everything has been forgiven.
At the end of the day, Jessica reveals to Nick (Simon Kassianides) about her ex-husband. Her ex-husband died after suffering from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig’s disease. She wants to believe she became a better person after losing him.
Jeff (D.B. Woodside) shows up to pick up Jessica, but he’s not too happy seeing Nick.
Pearson continues Wednesdays 10pm on USA Network.

My husband was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) when he was 63 years old 4 years ago. The Rilutek (riluzole) did very little to help him. The medical team did even less. His decline was rapid and devastating. His arms weakened first, then his hands and legs. Last year, a family friend told us about Organic Herbal Clinic and their successful ALS TREATMENT, we visited their website www. organicherbalclinic. com and ordered their ALS/MND Formula, i am happy to report the treatment effectively treated and reversed his Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), most of the symptoms stopped, he is able to walk and able to ride his treadmill again, he is pretty active now.
