Showtime continues Twin Peaks: The Return with the newest airing of Episode 7. In the seventh episode, original stars, Kyle MacLachlan and Mädchen Amick, reunite along with new faces in the continuation of David Lynch’s mystery/crime drama.
Still living Dougie’s life, Dale Cooper (MacLachlan) is confronted by the police. They try to question him about his missing car, but Janey-E Jones (Naomi Watts) arrives in the nick of time. Janey-E interrupts the interrogation and repeatedly states their car was stolen.
After the police leave, Ike ‘The Spike’ Stadtler (Christophe Zajac-Denek) has been waiting for the couple outside. Just when the Spike is about shoot them, Dale’s FBI instincts is triggered and he fights to save Janey-E. With the Talking Tree telling him what to do, Dale tears a piece of Spike’s skin off and gets the gun out of his hand before the would-be assassin leaves. Was the Spike hired to kill Dougie or Janey-E?
Meanwhile, FBI agent Albert Rosenfeld (Miguel Ferrer) arrives at Deputy Director Gordon Cole (Lynch)’s office. Because Diane (Laura Dern) turned him down, Albert and Gordon head out to her apartment. They really need her help but she is too upset with the FBI and Dale since their last night together.

Agent Tammy Preston (Chrysta Bell) manages to make a mess of things, causing Diane to curse her out. Diane reluctantly meets with Evil Dale, questioning him about their last night. Evil Dale refuses to answer her, which makes Diane realize this isn’t the man she once knew.
Tammy even has further proof this Dale isn’t the one they knew, because the fingerprints don’t match. While Diane promises Gordon to tell him what happened on that last night, Evil Dale blackmails the warden into letting him escape. The government investigator discovers Briggs’ dead body at the same time as The Homeless Man arrives.
Back at Twin Peaks, Jerry Horne (David Patrick Kelly) is lost in the woods, high out of his mind. Benjamin Horne (Richard Beymer) feels the humming inside the walls, hinting at Josie’s murdered spirit. Benjamin’s secretary, Beverly Paige (Ashley Judd), refuses to admit to her sick husband that she’s having an affair with her boss.

Deputy Chief Tommy ‘Hawk’ Hill (Michael Horse) shows Sheriff Frank Truman (Robert Forster) the missing pages of Laura Palmer’s diary. Laura re-tells the dream where Annie told her, “Good Dale is stuck in the Black Lodge and can’t get out.” Frank tries to learn more about the case but Harry is too sick from cancer.
The missing answers comes from Doc Will Hayward (Warren Frost). Doc remembers Evil Dale coming out of ICU, where Audrey was in a coma after the bank explosion; that was the last time Doc saw him.
Deputy Andy Brennan (Harry Goaz) appears to be hiding secrets of his own as he investigates the hit-and-run incident. Jean Michel Renault (Walter Olkewicz) is back in the business of prostitution. Danger appears to be heading towards Double R Diner as Shelly (Amick) witnesses a man screaming for a missing person.
There’s a body all right.
