After returning from their winter break, USA Network continues Season 7 with episode 11, Hard Truths, of their popular lawyer drama, Suits, starring Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht. The slick lawyers Mike Ross and Harvey Specter, are back and ready to take on any court case.
After being given a kiss by Donna, Harvey Specter (Macht) doesn’t have time to romanticize and immediately has to deal with Jessica’s fallout. Harvey ends up giving Mike (Adams) his next case through Alex Williams (Dulé Hill). Because she’s not a lawyer, Donna (Sarah Rafferty) wants to work Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) on a separate issue and interview a potential candidate.
After Donna (Sarah Rafferty) reveals the truth, Harvey and Mike argue over Jessica’s disbarment. The two are both to blame for what happened to her. Not wanting to sit down and relax, Mike starts working on the case from Alex.
At a dock, Harvey meets with Stanley Gordon, offering to restructure and cut out the associates. Stanley doesn’t want to make the deal unless he gets his money back. Mike wants to settle the case, giving a countdown for the money. Alex and Mike find themselves at odds over how to handle the money-grubbing client.
Harvey meets with Stanley’s opposition at a restaurant. She doesn’t want to write Stanley a check, and Harvey feels himself getting blindsided. Refusing to talk about the kiss, Harvey and Donna instead speak with a new candidate who wants the senior partner position. Harvey blows off the interview, making a fool out of Donna.
Finally discussing the kiss, Donna reveals the line between them has been blurry. She didn’t feel anything when she kissed him. Harvey is mad that she messed with his relationship; the kiss had an effect on him. Harvey admits to keeping secrets from his relationship with Donna.
Questioning his judgment, Mike ends up asking for advice from Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle). She thinks Alex has a point; not every case has something dirty. He feels like Rachel is second-guessing him.
Donna reveals to Louis that she kissed Harvey. Louis realizes she should have said something; not take action. Dr. Paula Agard (Christina Cole) is furious when Harvey reveals about Donna’s kiss. Bursting into tears, Paula knows they have feelings with each other.
Stanley wants his name on Harvey’s building and return back to the firm. Litt has 26 hours before the major announcement about a resignation. Though Rachel’s help, Mike realizes something shady with his client and gets more money in the settlement.
Louis and Harvey have to throw mud at Jessica’s name in order to save their reputations. While Harvey thanks and hugs Jessica, Alex makes peace with Mike. He admits to a shocked Paula that he slept with Jessica once.
Admitting to the hard truths, Harvey signs on the paper that will ruin Jessica’s reputation, remove her name, and save the firm.
Suits continues Wednesdays at 9pm on USA Network.
