HBO continues the critically acclaimed Watchmen, with Episode 2: Martial Feats of Comanche Horsemanship, starring Regina King andJeremy Irons. Based on the DC comics masterpiece by Alan Moore And Brian Bollard, find out what happens in the alternate future where police officers band together against an impending apocalypse.
In the past, the Germans are trying to convince black soldiers to join their side. Will Reeeves was a boy when his father brought home a German propaganda piece from the war.
After discovering Judd’s dead body, Angela (King) incarcerates Will Reeves (Louis Gossett Jr.) but doesn’t tell her the other officers. Will claims her captain was hiding skeletons in his closet. After taking a sample of his DNA, Angela waits for the results to come back.
In the past, Angela was attacked by the Cavalry at her home. When she wakes up at the hospital, Judd Crawford (Don Johnson) was waiting by her bedside, also wounded from the Cavalry attack. With the rest of their squad dead, Judd won’t quit unless Angela quits.
Meanwhile, the police are on the search for a cop killer. While asking where she was, Sister Night sees a man with a baseball bat in the reflection from Looking Glass (Tim Blake Nelson)’s silver mask. Unleashing her anger, Sister Night beats the attacker senseless.
Elsewhere, Adrian Veidt (Jeremy Irons) has his staff perform his play of five acts. The scene they are performing is the origin story of Dr. Manhattan. Mr. Philips (Tom Mison) turns out to be a clone of a clone.
Angela has a tough talk with her daughter, Topher, as she makes an entire castle. After telling her about Uncle Judd’s death, Topher says she will her sisters what happened. Topher then destroys her castle as her way of mourning.
During Judd’s funeral, Angela pretends to have a fainting spell. While in Judd’s bedroom, Angela puts on her goggles and sneaks into his closet. Behind a hidden door, Judd had put up his KKK white suit on a stand.
Stealing evidence, Angela throws the KKK suit at Will and demands answers. Will appears surprised that Judd actually had something literally in his closet. After getting a phone call, Angela discovers Will happens to be grandfather.
Will reveals there is a conspiracy taking place as the Calvary are setting up their homemade bombs. Just when Angela is about to bring Will to the police station, something big in the sky appears and takes him away. Will smiles just before he disappears.
The paper that says, “Take care of this boy,” was also the German’s propaganda piece.
Watchmen continues Sundays on HBO at 9pm.
