DC Universe continues the highly anticipated third season of Young Justice, with the latest installment of Outsiders, in Episode 12: Nightmare Monkeys, starring the voices of Jesse McCartney and Khary Payton. The superhero team is caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.
Back at the Kent farm, Halo realizes she feels connected to Vic’s new technology. Superbly reveals he found a broken mother box back at Bedlam. Halo’s powers come from the Mother Box, which explains why Halo has an old soul in her young body.
All of a sudden, Superboy’s super-cycle goes berserk and threatens Vic. Halo is then able to purge the father box’s hold on Vic. Nightwing wants Halo to stick close to Vic because her healing ability only has an effect on him.
Elsewhere, Beast Boy is making another episode for his sci-fi show. In the story, Beast Boy cries a single tear for his dead crew mate. Beast Boy is able to pull off the actor’s trick because he’s had el-life practice.
Beast Boy is getting ready for his date with Perdita, Queen of Vlatava. While she gets ready, he starts to play around with her VR goggles. right then and there, the goggles came alive and inject Beast Boy with a needle, causing him to faint and foam at the mouth.
In his hallucinatory dream, Beast Boy has unresolved issues to face. He hasn’t gotten over the death of his friend, Wally West. He also hasn’t gotten over the death of Doom Patrol, who also sacrificed themselves. He has lost friends and mothers to death in just a short lifespan.
Perdita calls in Miss Martian and Superboy to save Beast Boy. Superboy hears Beast Boy’s heartbeat fade as Miss Martin makes a telepathic link. Miss Martin serves as his guide as Beast Boy realizes he was taken away from his sister.
Beast Boy comes to grip with his reality, his legal guardian is exploiting him. His guardian is also cashing in on Beast Boy’s cash for himself.Beast Boy wanted to be on TV like his mother but it was only a distraction from his emotional pain.
After waking from his psychic dream, Beat Boy thanks and hisses Perdita. At the same time Miss Martian and Supeboy lock lips, Halo and Geo-Force are enjoying their first kiss.
