An elegantly dark and eloquent horror/fantasy installment, Ask For Mercy #6 (comiXology Originals) is gloriously realized right till the final page. With such fantastical imagery and interesting writing, readers will definitely want more of Ask For Mercy.
Wewelsburg, Nazi Germany, 1942. Mercy and her Band of Monsters have infiltrated Himmler’s lair but it seems Ratmir’s loyalties cannot be counted on. The Gate between our dimension and the dimension infested by the Kroach is opened and THE KEY TO FOREVER comes to its terrifying conclusion!
Here are 5 reasons why you should get Ask For Mercy #6:
5) The Writing!
Writer Richard Starkings delivers a grand-scale battle between good and evil, where the major players can switch sides at any moment. An interesting character, Ratmir manages to be a trickster who’s only loyal to himself. Starkings’ lettering emphasizes the coming-of-age arc within Mercy as she discovers her true destiny in the battlefield.
4) The Art!!
In the opening pages. artist Abigail Jill Harding captures the snow-filled landscapes with such wonderful elegance. Then Harding lets loose on the terror, designing these grotesque and disturbing monsters. In one of the creepiest panels, there are tentacles crawling out of Alizarine’s body and wrapping themselves onto his arm.
3) The Colors!
Notice how the white tones of the snow and winter setting enhance the backgrounds. During the climax, the sacrificial ceremony delivers a smorgasbord of bright colors, from purple to green, that is unbelievably appealing to the eyes. The all-out battle, which involves spirits, dragons, and demons, is quite brilliant to look at.
2) Unlimited!
Ask For Mercy will also be available as part of comiXology Unlimited, Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading upon release.
1) A Surreal Read!
A satisfying conclusion, Ask For Mercy #6 delivers an epic finale that is a true feast to the eyes. I cannot wait to read from all six parts together!
