Baby Jessie – Bloodshot’s infant daughter – was being transformed into his own terrible image. Bloodshot sought to undo by striking a demonic pact to save Jessie’s life. In the underworld known as the Deadside, Bloodshot did the unthinkable to change her existence.
4) The Book Of Revelations!
In a shocking twist, writer Jeff Lemire transforms Jessie from an infant to a pre-teen adolescent. To underline the family theme, Jessie is far from her father and longs for their reunion. Bloodshot finds himself in the future, trying to figure out how to escape the apocalypse. Letterer Simon Bowland gives Bloodhound’s dialogue something different when the dog speaks.
3) The Artwork!
Artist Doug Braiwaite highlights the loneliness and sadness in Jessie’s expressive closeups. You can tell the emotional toll is having an effect on the child’s innocence. Notice how Jessie is able to say so much with her eyes, especially since there are no eyeballs.

I love the absurd humor that comes out from Bloodshot and Bloodhound’s buddy/comedy adventure! Notice how colorist Jordie Bellaire heightens the sun’s orange tones in the desert landscape.

Diving into its wild new arc, Bloodshot Salvation #10 manages to balance the action and drama behind two storylines. I can’t wait to grab my hands on the next issue!
