Before the theatrical release date from Amazon Studios and K Period Media, actress Chloë Grace Moretz teases her upcoming role in Suspiria. Based on the cult masterpiece from Dario Argento, the A-list cast includes Mia Goth, Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, and marks the return of the original starlet, Jessica Harper.
Darkness has been building at the center of a world-renowned dance company. Its artistic director (Swinton), a young American new to the troupe named Susie Bannion (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Lutz Ebersdorf) become entangled in director Luca Guadagnino’s bloody nightmare.
Here are 5 reasons why we love the R-rating for Suspiria:
5) Who’s She Playing?!?
According to Indiewire, the Kick-Ass actress plays Patricia Hingle in the remake. The same character was played by Eva Axén in the original. Will Patricia still be Suzy (Johnson)’s friend in the upcoming horror flick?
4) Will I Recognize her!
Mortez was tightly-lipped about her character but she did reveal, “I can say this, I speak German mainly in the movie. So you won’t recognize me very well. I seem like a different person and I sound like a different person.”
3) How Crazy Is It!?!
As we perviously mentioned, the Suspiria remake has landed a very hard R rating by the MPAA. Knowing a thing or two about horror, the scream queen who previously starred in Let Me in and Carrie mentioned, “That was a crazy movie to be a part of.”
2) The Craziest Stuff!
Mortez also mentioned how nuts director Luca Guadagnino allowed her to be, “He’ll let you do the craziest stuff on screen and won’t bat an eye, he’ll tell you to go farther.”
1) Have you seen the trailer?!?
Suspiria arrives in theaters on November 2nd, 2018.
