A nightmarish shocker that will thrill horror fans, Delta 13 #4 (IDW Publishing) brilliantly concludes with its most disturbing scarefest. Steve Niles and Nat Jones deliver a high-tech space story with intense action and compelling characters.

When a mysterious and huge asteroid looms over their ship, a small crew of blue-collar workers discovers a terrifying threat unlike anything they’ve ever seen. Now, the crew must escape the asteroid, but even if they do, will they be able to escape each other and anything they bring back with them?

Here are 5 reasons why you should get Delta 13 #4:

5) What Happened Before!

In the first installment, Sanders tries to hide her feelings for home from her male-dominant crew. After making a sudden discovery, Sanders and her crew discovered something hidden behind ancient chamber doors; something alive and breathing. What they brought back with them is now stalking them on their spaceship!

4) The Writing

With his genuine love for Lifeforce and Alien, writer Steve Niles unleashes his space succubus and pumps up the kill scenes. Niles comes up with the most inventive kill scenes that take place in outer-space. The subtle lettering by Tom B. Long hints at Sanders’ urgent need for survival.

3) The Artwork!

Since the first installment, Nat Jones’ illustrations have always stood out with their own stylish look and feel. When the space succubus appears on the panel, there’s enough light to highlight her naked body as the tentacles swirl around cover specific body parts The imagery reminds you of a twisted version of Medusa from Greek mythology.

2) The Colors!

An interesting experiment, space is just devoid of any warmth and primary color, full of white and gray tones. Red pops out when the page takes a horrifying twist!

1) A Terrific Conclusion!

A  terrifying issue, Delta 13 #4 delivers the bloody goods in is its satisfying conclusion. Delta 13 is another fun sci-fi/horror scarefest from Steve Niles and Nat Jones collaboration. Can’t wait for their next project!
