5 Reasons To Get ‘Faithless’ #1 (BOOM! Studios)!

Faithless #1, BOOM! Studios

A spine-tingling look at self-exploration and eroticism, Faithless #1 (BOOM! Studios) is a twisty mixture of sexy slick and fun sleazy. An eye-popping first installment, jaws will immediately when readers open the comic and get through the first page.

Faith is a young woman who likes to dabble in the occult. Her friends think it’s cute—and not just a little off-putting, but it’s part of her charm and her warped search for purpose in a world that makes too much sense. But she’s a true believer and knows there is a power within her reach. She’s right, of course. It just took a while for the supernatural, the temptation, the unknowable thing to find her . . .

Here are 5 reasons why you should get Faithless #1:

5) Resonating!

Sierra Hahn, Executive Editor, BOOM! Studios, states, “Brian [Azzarello] and Maria [Llovet] have crafted a resonant examination of what it means to be your true self in a world that asks us to assume false identities to better suit those around us instead of asking those same people to embrace our hidden depths.”

4) The Writing!

Writer Brian Azzarello explores voyeurism and temptation in the flirtatious dialogue between Faith and Poppy. Notice how And World Design does a great job lettering the nonstop chatter between them. Azzarello has a fun time pointing at the cliches of rom-coms and flipping them.

3) The Artwork!

Artist Maria Llovet delivers two interesting character designs with Faith and Poppy. It’s almost like they are body doubles, a reflection of their seductions and charms. Notice how Llovet always has the two in the same panel.

2) The Colors!

Poppy always stands outs in every page because of his bluish hair color. Your eyes follow Faith around because she wears a white shirt with black stripes.

1) An Erotic Read!

Stylish and sexy, Faithless #1 is an engaging erotic thriller. I can’t wait to pick up the second issue!

Faithless #1 arrives in stores on March 10th, 2019.
