The Heroes in a Half-Shell take on their most amazing and dangerous and bizarre adventure ever! The TMNT and Master Splinter are attacked in their lair by a group of cyborgs led by the female ninja called Pimiko. Before the attack is over, one family member will fall…and one will be lost!
Here are 5 reasons why you should get Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Urban Legends #1:
5) It’s Stylishly Different!
#TMNT: URBAN LEGENDS – long-lost stories, never-before-reprinted, available now for the first time in full color! Catch up on announcements, campaigns, new releases, and more with the #IDWeeklyNews issue #335! – https://t.co/uP4opSihee pic.twitter.com/xAKvTi7ug7

This is the only way I can explain, so please bear with me. Imagine if the John Wick directors teamed up to focus on the ninja action. It’d be pretty brutal with a heavy body count. And that’s the first installment of Urban Legends!
4) The Writing!
Writer Gary Carlson kicks off the story with the Turtles divided. During the surprise attack, the Turtles are unable to hold back against the ongoing blasts and deafening gunfire. Letterer Chris Eliopoulos captures Pimiko’s memorable introduction in all caps.
3) The Artwork!
Artist Frank Fosco illustrates the Turtles fighting in intense action-packed sequences. Right from the first page, Fosco dives into the action as Donatello suffers blowback from a massive explosion. The inks by Erik Larsen and Chance Wolf highlight the cybernetic arms and futuristic weaponry.
2) The Colors!
Red is a major theme in colorist Adam Guzowski’s vivid palette. I was definitely shocked to see Donatello soaked in blood in the opening pages. The Turtles are unified with their matching red-colored bandanas.
