In the first issue, Bebop and Rocksteady just want one thing; they want to go home. On their road trip to New York, Bebop and Rocksteady never realize the government is chasing after them, with Special Agent Reavenwood leading the troops. The madcap duo face another uphill battle; they’re human and they’ve started bleeding.
4) The Writing!
Writers Ben Bates and Dustin Weaver focus more of the brawling attitudes of Bebop and Rocksteady. What would happen if the most wanted mutants followed someone deadlier than Shredder? Focusing on this ruthlessness, letterer Shawn Lee highlights loyalty and vile atrocities, which is what Savanti Romero demands from them.
3) The Artwork!
Artist Ben Bates illustrates Savanti Romero with long, curvy horns and a mouth full of fangs. Notice how Savanti is smaller is size when standing next to Bebop and Rocksteady. I really like how we can now see Bebop’s new skeletal arm as if we the readers had X-Ray vision.
2) The Colors!
Colorist Brittany Peer goes all out with the eye-popping hues during Bebop and Rocksteady’s action-packed plane chase. During the climax, we have explosions, plane crashes, and all-out gun battles!
