Here are 5 reasons why you should read Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1:
5) The Real Team-Up My Childhood Wanted!
The Turtles found themselves on the wrong side when they fought agains the Power Rangers in Space. After making peace with the Power Rangers, the Turtles were surfing in outer-space on Galaxy Gliders. Though this crossover happened on television, it just didn’t feel like the real Power Rangers without Billy, Kimberly, Trini, Jason, and Zack.
4) The Writing!
Every single page written by Ryan Parrot is filled with personality. Jason has real doubts about his leadership, especially with the stress from being a superhero and his schoolwork. Karai is reluctant to work with Tommy, even though he claims to be evil. Letterer Ed Dukshire understands the witty banter between the Turtles as they throw quips and finish each other’s sentences.
3) The Artwork!
Artist Simone di Meo is all about the martial acts action as the Rangers and Turtles find themselves on opposite sides. Raphael loves to show off his fighting skills as he goes one on one against the Green Ranger. In an epic fight, Leonardo and the Red Ranger slash and swing their swords at each other.
2) The Colors!
Every page in the first installment looks like a beautiful rainbow. The primary colors by Walter Baimonte and Igor Monti are on full display with the bandanas and armor. Even Zordon’s base is painted in bright bluish tones.
1) A Tremendously Fun Read!
