Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings) is a gifted young woman who discovers she has a supernatural ability to find lost things. 5) Ashleigh Cummings!
The heart of the show, Ashleigh Cummings always knocks it out of the park in every single episode and never falters. Her portrayal of Vic asks Cummings to be strong, vulnerable, and flawed.
4) Jahkara Smith!
Incredibly charismatic, Jahkara Smith is amazing to watch as Maggie Leigh. The lead in her own detective story, Maggie (Smith) becomes her own sleuth and investigates the case of the missing kids through her psychic link.
3) Virginia Kull!
Virginia Kull held nothing back in her performance as Vic’s tough and stubborn mother, Linda McQueen, and told us in our interview, “She’s tough because she’s not very likable. Someone told me Linda McQueen is a shrew. I thought, ‘Well then dammit, I’m determined to find a way to make the audience to root for her.’ They may not agree with her, but at least they will understand where she’s coming from.
2) Christmasland!
As a fan of the book, showrunner Jami O’Brien has done wonders by focusing on the characterizations, exploring Bing Patridge (Ólafur Darri Ólafsson), and building on the mythology of The Wraith. It’s an incredible shot at seeing Christmasland brought to life, in such detail. O’Brien brings in her social commentary on the working class, showcasing their struggles with affection and understanding.
