An entertaining and nail-biting read, Rocket Girl #10 (Image Comics) mixes time-travel and police procedural during its concluding chapter. Since its first issue, Writer Brandon Montclare and artist Amy Reeder (Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur) have crafted a humorous sci-fi police story that holds a genuine love for the ‘80s.

As we previously mentioned, DaYoung Johansson, aka Rocket Girl, relaunches her investigation into crimes against time. DaYoung is the teen-cop-from-the-future but her adventures continue in the ‘80s. A major clue landed right in front of her just as she attempts to takedown of the evil corporation known as Quintum Mechanics. Now the past and present are about to collide in a BIG BANG!

Here are 5 reasons why you should pick up Rocket Girl #10:

5) DaYoung’s Freaking Awesome!

Writer Brandon Montclare captures teen angst and rebellion with such enthusiasm in his female lead. With a clever idea in her head, DaYoung heads straight into New York traffic. She actually jumps on top of the moving cars and taxis to get to the payphone and get into costume.

4) The Amazing Artwork!

Artist Amy Reeder illustrates Rocket Girl in a major flying sequence. After carrying her in her arms, Rocket Girl gets tired and drops her companion in a laugh-out-loud scene.

3) The Sadness Of Time-Travel!

The last pages will definitely catch readers by surprise. You’ll definitely get mad at the creators over the shocking ending but it absolutely makes sense. Like all great sci-fi tales, Rocket Girl asks, “Does anything change?”

2) The Bonus Features!

The last pages dives the behind-the-scenes process of making the comic. The process takes us through the research, photos, and New York history. I just love the dedication and passion that  these creators have had with Rocket Girl.

1) A Satisfying Conclusion!

Upbeat and energetic in its satisfying conclusion, Rocket Girl #10 engages readers with its sly humor and eye-catching visuals. I cannot wait to reread Rocket Girl from the beginning!
