Things have never been worse for the TMNT and their allies, but there’s still one desperate gambit to try if the family can come together in time. Will it be worth the cost? Over eight years of TMNT storytelling have led to this game-changing moment! Don’t miss it!

Here are 5 reasons why you should read Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #100:

5) What Happened Before!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #100

Karai makes a surprising decision by taking control of the Foot Clan from Splinter. Breaking off alliances with everyone, Karai drove her blade straight into Jennika. In order to save Jennika, the Turtles offered their own blood to save her. Kitsune has been manipulating everyone in her master plan raise the apocalyptic Dragon.

4) The Writing!

In this special extra-sized story by Kevin Eastman and Bobby Curnow, writer Tom Waltz has the Turtles race against time to prevent the end of the world. Master Splinter comes to terms with the mistakes he made and attempts to redeem himself for his family. Shawn Lee’s lettering captures the emotional high stakes as Raphael and Leonardo clash over Agent Bishop.

3) The Artwork!

Artist Dave Wachter, Michael Dialynas, Mateus Santolouco, Adam Gorham, Dan Duncan, and Cory Smith hype up the action and drama as the end of the world draws near. In an epic panel, the Turtles, including their new sister, are all gathered together, fighting as a team. Everybody is fighting against the incoming horde of demons sent by Shredder.

2) The Colors!

Ronda Pattison and Bill Cabtree’s color palette heightens the red tones as the Dragon becomes unleashed on New York City. Notice how the the red tone is reflected off the flames and smoke. This is a clever way of getting all the bandanas to look like one color in a particular drawing.
