A hilariously energetic read, WWE Smackdown Live Special #1 delivers an action packed spotlight on wrestling champion Becky Lynch, aka The Man. Check out the behind-the-scenes antics that take place when the cameras are off and within the backstage locker rooms.
Becky Lynch, The Man, is ready to be part of the new Friday Night Smackdown. As she prepares for the big moment, Becky finds herself in a backstage adventure, encountering the WWE Legends.
Here are 5 reasons why you should read WWE Smackdown Live Special #1:
5) The Guest Stars!
The biggest names in wrestling are waiting in the locker room for Becky Lynch to show up. The Undertaker, the Hardy Boyz, Kurt Angle, and others find themselves side by side with the current Smackdown Roster.
4) The Writing!
As a huge fan of Becky Lynch, I absolutely enjoyed how writer Kevin Panetta captured her tough personality and feisty essence. Becky has her own comedic quirks, especially when she has to get a chair and stand right in front of the Big Show. Letterer Jim Campbell does a great job when the witty banter bounces back and forth between the IIconics.
3) The Artwork!
Artists Kendall Goode and Serg Acuña do a fantastic job of highlighting the comedic humor when Kofi Kingston gets stuck in a traffic jam. The illustrations are able to visually tell what kind of relationship each wrestler has with one another. The wrestling action takes over the climax when every character jumps into the epic brawl inside the locker room.
2) The Colors!
The vivid colors by Serg Acuña and Danny Sanchez Chaves heighten the outfits. Becky stands out because of her long red hair and and dark blue jacket. The red tones strike out to the eyes, especially when Kane and the Bella Twins enter the narrative.
