Netflix has announced the premiere date for Season 5 of their gangster/family drama, Peaky Blinders, starring Cillian Murphy. In the lawless streets of Birmingham, Tommy Shelby (Murphy) continues his transformation from backstreet crime lord to legitimate businessman and member of parliament.
Thomas Shelby and his family have bigger ambitions than just running the streets. It all began when a crate of guns went missing. Tommy recognized an opportunity to advance in the world because crime may pay but running a legitimate business pays better.

When the fifth season starts, the viewers will be thrust into a world in turmoil by the financial crash of 1929. Tommy Shelby MP is approached by a charismatic politician with a bold vision for Britain.
