Just before their highly anticipated premiere, DC Universe has released the “2nd Half” promo for the animated Young Justice: Outsiders. With new episodes of Young Justice about to hit the DC Universe streaming service, let’s take a look at the footage and check out what’s in store for viewers!
The team faces its greatest challenge yet as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.
[SPOILERS AHEAD] Here are 5 reasons why we’re excited for the return of Young Justice: Outsiders:
5) Halo!
Halo (Zehra Fazal) is such a quirky and fun character, who has developed superbly during the first half. A refreshing addition to the lineup, Halo’s arc transcends the coming-of-age tale as she becomes more confident and strong as she discovers who she really is. I find it very interesting how her powers are reflected in different auras.
4) Triptych!
So far, “Triptych” has been my favorite of the previous thirteen episodes. I really loved how writer Peter David jumped back and forth between narratives, while using variety of characters. I want to see how second half tops this one!
3) Nightwing!
From starting out as a sidekick to becoming his own hero, Dick Grayson has matured and shown leadership. In “Princes All,” Dick Grayson even formed his own rogue team to shut down a meta-human trafficking syndicate. I’m very excited to see how Nightwing’s character arc continues.
2) That Twist!
In the mid-season finale, “True Heroes,” Brion finally discovered the whereabouts of his missing sister. After rescuing Tara from the Court of Owls, she then secretly made contact with Deathstroke. Is the show doing its own version of The Judas Contract?
1) Tuesdays!
The DC Universe has scheduled in some Tuesday summer fun! New episodes will be released every Tuesday when Outsiders return. Viewers can binge the first thirteen episode on the DC Universe and check out our recaps!
Young Justice: Outsiders premieres July 2nd, 2019 only on DC UNIVERSE.
