It’s the beginning of the end as AMC presents the official teaser, “Not Your Enemy” to Season 3 of the martial arts/fantasy drama, Into The Badlands, starring Daniel Wu and Emily Beecham. Check out how the visually striking fight scenes from this action-packed music video!
As we previously mentioned, Into the Badlands is a genre-blending story of survival and dominance set in a future feudal society. Within the territory known as the Badlands, a variety of clans struggle for supremacy over one another. These clans have been formed by the destruction of familial bonds and skirmishes over power.
[Spoilers: Makes sure you check out recent recaps] Here are 5 reasons we’re excited for Season 3B of Into the Badlands:
5) Ante Up!
The song played in the official teaser is “Ante Up (Robbin Hoodz Theory)” by M.O.P. The music video sets up all the fight sequences from the past season and teases some epic new ones. Sadly these will be the last fight scenes viewers will see before the third season finale aka the series finale.
4) The Widow!
When we last saw her, The Widow (Beecham) was getting her groove back from Gaius Chau (Lewis Tan) before she was kidnapped! Now we see The Widow floating in the air in slow motion after getting punched. With a sword to her neck, The Widow also says to Sunny, “I’m not your enemy.”
3) Sunny!
I have no idea whose side Sunny (Wu) is on. Even after Bajie (Nick Frost) warned him that Pilgrim (Babou Ceesay) shouldn’t be trusted, Sunny allowed Pilgrim to unlock the Meridian Chamber and gain immense power! In the teaser, Sunny ducks, blocking three swords landing on his back!
2) Shiny!
Bajie (Frost) asks Nathaniel Moon (Sherman Augustus), “Is there something different about you?” Moon perfectly responds, giving him the finger, with his shiny new blade.
1) That Last War!
The footage promises an epic battle to end all battles. Listen, I love this show! I will miss it but for right now, I really want this show to go out with a bang!
Season 3 of Into the Badlands returns to AMC Sunday, March 24 at 10pm. The show moves to its regular time slot with a new episode on Monday, March 25 at 10pm.
