Lifechanger Blu-Ray, DVD

Raven Banner Entertainment and Uncork’d Entertainment brings the twisted body horror flick, Lifechanger, onto DVD and Blu-Ray. Check out the special features as you watch writer/director Justin McConnell’s thrilling tale of a conflicted shape-shifter looking to repair the damage he’s caused.

As told by Drew (Bill Oberst Jr.), we learn he has an identity problem. Every few days, has to shape-shift, or face a painful death. He has to find someone and make a copy. He takes everything: their looks, memories, hopes, and dreams. He becomes them, and they die horribly. Enter Julia (Lora Burke), the object of Drew’s affection. How can he make things right when he’s never the same person for very long? How do you gain back trust when who you are keeps changing?

Here are 5 reasons why you should get Lifechanger on Blu-Ray and DVD:

5) Elitsa Bako!

Lifechanger

The narrative unfolds like an anthology, following a different character with their own episodic short film. Accepting the challenge head-on, Elitsa Bako has the difficult job of kickstarting the tale, setting the tone and arc, as Emily Roberts. I was immensely drawn to Bako’s magnetic onscreen presence as Emily wakes up to a dead body.

4) Rachel VanDuzer!

As the story unfolds, actress Rachel VanDuzer continues the flow of charisma and adds her own charm to the role. VanDuzer steals the show with her own must-see action sequence. The choreography and camerawork were just top-notch in her action-packed scene.

3) The Immortal!

Writer/director Justin McDonnell reimagines the theme of immortality, as the consciousness host moves from one body to the next. You’re evading death in the process but you’re also losing your humanity. I was highly impressed by the makeup department, especially with the beautifully gross-out brith sequence towards the climax.
