Deception Episode 2, ABC

ABC invites audiences to their world of magic in the crime drama, Deception, starring Jack Cutmore-Scott and Ilfenesh Hadera, with Episode 2: Forced Perspective. Get ready to fight crime and learn a few magic tricks alongside magician Cameron Black (Scott) and FBI agent Kay Daniels (Hadera).

At a crime scene, Cameron feels sick after spotting a dead body. Daniels has to talk calm him down before he can continue. Canvassing the neighborhood, Daniels spots a witness, a kid throwing paper planes. The eye witness mentions a blue van and describes the logo.

Cameron thinks the killer filmed his murder. Jonathan wants to believe in the good news from his brother. Mike Alvarez (Amaury Nolasco) joins in on the two when they spot a shooter. Just before the FBI starts shooting, Cameron interrupts and puts himself in the line of fine.

The shooter doesn’t realize he’s being played; it’s all part of a game show. He thought they were being filmed; there was poison in the water gun he fire from. The contestant will face the consequences unless they find the real perpetrators.

DECEPTION – “Forced Perspective” – As Cameron continues to focus on helping his brother, he and Kay get to work on a case that has unknowing tourists participating in a reality show – yet it’s anything but real, it’s deadly, on “Deception,” airing SUNDAY, MARCH 18 (10:01-11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. While Jordan (Justin Chon), Dina (Lenora Crichlow), and Gunter (Vinnie Jones) are working on the case, Daniels gets a clue to the Russian Syndicate. Cameron and Daniels end up asking around the tourists in Times Square before he demonstrates his new trick. The reality show was looking for contestants at the tourist spot.

Kay discovers the shooter dying from the poison in the interrogation room. Cameron and his magic team  are trying to figure how to save the victim and get him the antidote. The team ends up going to an nightclub,where they try to find the gangster Mikhail.

After Kay gets a name, Cameron breaks into the garage and finds the van. While Cameron being held hostage by Mikhail, Daniels arrives at the club . Gunter kills the lights, which gives time for Daniels and Mike to have their shoot-out. Cameron ends up with Mikhail’s phone after he escapes.

With Mikhail on the loose, Cameron gets a yelling from Deakins (Laila Robins). Back at the prison, Cameron and Jonathan argue over how the stunt went wrong. They figure out how to set up a trap for Mikhail. During the stakeout, Daniels and the other agents are keeping an eye on Mikhail’s girlfriend.

After Mikhail shows up and gets arrested, the gangsters storms in. Cameron and Mikhail both get sprayed in the face with poison. In an elaborate stunt, Mikhail witnesses Cameron die while he really slips out and a cadaver is put in his place. Cameron walks out of the hospital room into his magic room as Gunter removes his mask.

Thinking he’s dying, Mikhail gives up the antidote. He realizes the room is fake and holds Dina hostage. Mike saves her life and grabs Mikhail, who gives up his boss. The magic and FBI teams celebrate, with the Deception team given a go-ahead.

Kay reveals she has been working on Jonathan’s case. They have been studying the mystery woman while the Femme Fatale (Stephanie Corneliussen) has been studying them.   

Deception continues Sundays at 10pm on ABC.
