Alan Robert has more scary things for readers to color with The Beauty of Horror 3: Haunted Playgrounds, Another GOREgeous Coloring Book (IDW Publishing)! In his third installment, the Life of Agony bassist and comic book creator goes international and takes Ghouliana around the world!
As we previously mentioned in our review, The Beauty of Horror 2 provides a short poem in the opening pages that feels memorably lyrical. Among the many images, two of them really strike out to me because of my love for movies, especially Stanley Kubrick’s. The first image plays something out of The Shining and the other reminds me of the red robed men stalking the halls in Eyes Wide Shut.

Robert teases, “With Haunted Playgrounds, I get to expand Ghouliana’s world even more and introduce a slew of new twisted characters for her to interact within a bunch of bizarre settings. I’m in a great groove right now, with two of these books under my belt, so this one will be some serious fun draw!”

There will be 80 new pages of intricate, hand-drawn designs. Each illustration will be presented in a high-quality, deluxe coloring format. Your eyes will be glued to all the hidden and creepy pieces that Ghouliana is trying to reanimate.
