From the criminal world of Breaking Bad, AMC continues Season 4 of Better Call Saul with Episode 2: Breathe, starring Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks. Is Jimmy McGill heading closer to his Saul Goodman persona after the death of his brother?
In the morning, Kim (Rhea Seehorn) watches as Jimmy gets ready for his job interviews. Kim is supposed to see Howard later on to sign for Chuck’s last will. At his job interview, Jimmy notices a little trinket in the office.
Jimmy gives a great show as he pitches himself for the sales job. Unfortunately, Jimmy screws himself over, mocking his interviewers, and storms out the building. He then heads on out to his next job interview.
Elsewhere, Mike (Jonathan Banks) has to meet with Lydia. He still plans to break into Madrigal’s offices to prove his point; he is a security consultant. When she asks Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) for advice, he tells her to give Mike a badge.
Nacho (Michael Mando) shows up at his father’s shop and tells him it’s over. Unfortunately Nacho still has to work for Salamancas; but he’s working on a way out. The Cousins are waiting for him at the hospital as they check up on the old man.
Nacho and his associate have to deal with a drug deal gone bad. They were supposed to get 6 kilos, not 5, during the deal. Nacho has to take his gun out before the drug dealers finally give them the missing kilo.
This was all a trap for Nacho and his hoodlum buddy as they are ambushed. Gus puts a bag over his buddy’s head and forces Nacho to watch him suffocate. Nacho now belongs to Gus, who knows everything.
Kim shows up at Howard’s office and starts yelling at him. Howard (Patrick Fabian) wants Kim to give Chuck’s last screw-you letter to Jimmy. Kim argues with Howard how he had the audacity to tell Jimmy that his own brother burned himself alive.
Back at home,Kim decides to hold onto Chuck’s letter and hides it from Jimmy. Jimmy doesn’t tell Kim what happened before and makes up excuses; someone will call him back. They’re holding out on each other.
After sleeping with Kim, Jimmy calls Mike and tells him that he has a job to do. The little trinket he cased is worth up to 8 grand.
Better Call Saul continues on AMC Mondays at 9pm.
