With so much plot twists and action unfolding at lightning speed, NBC continues Blindspot Season 3 with the Episode 8 finale: City Folks Under Wraps. Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) are back together solving the cases behind the mystery tattoos.
As the pursuit for Stuart (Jordan Johnson-Hinds)’s killer continues, FBI Director Eleanor Hirst (Mary Stuart Masterson) gets a threatening call from the big bad. If Hirst doesn’t clean up her mess, that’s the end for her. Hirst decides to frame someone else, specifically Patterson, for her murder.
Rich (Ennis Esmer) joins Tasha (Audrey Esparza) and Edgar Reade (Rob Brown) to save Patterson (Ashley Johnson). Like a scene out of Mission Impossible, Patterson tears off her mask and escapes from FBI headquarters. Unfortunately, Kurt gets arrested as Jane runs off with Hirst’s cell.
While Patterson, Jane, and Tasha attempt to decrypt Hirst’s cell, Hirst and Reade attempt to break Rich and Kurt in the interrogation. Hirst attempts to hurt Kurt by making her attack team target after his wife. It doesn’t take long before the FBI arrives Kurt’s apartment and arrests Patterson.
Elsewhere in Barcelona, Roman’s romance with auctioneer Blake Crawford (Tori Anderson) hits another notch. Blake then introduces Roman to her father, Hank Crawford (David Morse), the big bad behind Hirst’s call. Hank wants Roman to protect his daughter and be her bodyguard.
The last one standing, Tasha attempts find the evidence that points to Hirst. As the chase for Jane ends in FBI headquarters, Tasha sends the audio to the intercom. Everybody at the FBI office listens to Hirst committing Stuart’s murder.
Though he has Hirst arrested, she isn’t even breaking a sweat. Hirst reveals she is holding Tasha hostage. Tasha will die unless Reade helps her escape. It takes awhile for the rest of the team to find out their whereabouts at Hirst’s secret hideout.
During the shoot-out, Jane knocks out the kidnapper and saves Tasha. Kurt and Hirst have their own standoff, but he’s not willing to kill her. Knowing she will be punished, Hirst is afraid of the retaliation from Hank Crawford.
Rich is brought long with the rest of the gang to Kurt’s apartment. Now that the case is over, they can start packing up the paperwork. Tasha tries to cheer up Reade, who’s still conflicted over handcuffing his mentor.
Jane gets a call from Roman and hands over the call to Kurt. Roman then mentions to Kurt that he should have killed Hirst when he had the chance. Not willing to give Roman the upper-hand again, Kurt decides to reveal his secret.
Kurt reveals to Jane that her daughter’s dead and it’s all his fault.
Blindspot will return January 12th 2018, Friday at 8m on NBC.
