With so much plot twists and action unfolding at uncanny speed, NBC continues Blindspot Season 3 with Episode 7: Fix My Present Havoc. Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) are back together solving the cases behind the mystery tattoos.

In a flashback, Stuart (Jordan Johnson-Hinds) had made a major discovery on one of the tattoos and sent a text to the only person he could trust. Unfortunately, Stuart picked the wrong person to confide in. FBI Director Eleanor Hirst (Mary Stuart Masterson) entered his apartment room and slit his throat.

During the day, Tasha (Audrey Esparza), Patterson (Ashley Johnson), and Edgar Reade (Rob Brown) continue their daily routines. But at night, they have been working nonstop on how to bring down Hirst. Patterson has been crashing at Jane and Kurt’s apartment for awhile now, as if she lives there.

While Allie (Trieste Kelly Dunn) brings her daughter to see Kurt, Roman (Luke Mitchell) offers the team a clue that leads them straight to Van Gogh. The investigation takes them to Dr. Palmeri (Jessica Hecht), who is working on a clinical trial with cancer patients. After losing millions, Dr. Palmeri and Dr. Andrea Park (Di Zhu) have been secretly developing a deadly virus.

During their investigation, Jane finds herself speaking with a patient of Dr. Palmeri. She ends up taking down Eric Vance (Tarik Lowe), who was there the night of Stuart’s murder. After Hirst murdered Stuart, Eric tried to make the crime scene look like the apartment was vandalized.

Eric reveals he has been working on covert assignments from Hirst. To repay him, Hirst blackmails Dr. Palmeri and treats Eric’s cancer-stricken lover. Elsewhere, Zapata and Reade almost have an intimate moment together, just before the romantic mood is ruined by Hirst’s incessant calling.

While Zapata and Reade are having brunch with her, Hirst is actually sizing them up. Hirst actually gets Zapata and Reade uncomfortable with each other. Hirst doesn’t think Zapata should be part of the team and wants Reade to fire her.

Palmeri and Park are now intent on spreading the virus through the water system. At the water plant, Jane and Allie are forced to work together to stop the infected water from feeding into Manhattan. After Palmeri and Park are taken down, Jane and Allie manage to reactivate the failsafe system and stop the flow of infected water.

Though Kurt feels sympathy for Eric, Allie is having none of it. Allie reminds Kurt that he cannot have a healthy relationship based on secrets and lies, no matter how good the intention is. To find her missing daughter, Jane makes contact with a secret source.

After losing his lover, Eric’s day just gets worse as he’s murdered at the safe-house. Kurt realizes that Hirst has been spying on them and knew they had the only evidence against her. Kurt starts making calls, trying to warn everybody that Hirst is onto them.

Kurt is too late to reach Reade as Hirst has already stepped into his office.

Blindspot continues Fridays at 8m on NBC.
