We visit The Underground as DC Universe continues the first season of Doom Patrol, with Episode 9: Jane Patrol, starring Matt Bomer and Brendan Fraser. Find out how this band of superhero weirdos teamed-up against the super villain known as Mr. Nobody (Alan Tudyk).

When we last left them, Eric Morden (Tudyk) had kidnapped The Chief (Timothy Dalton) from the team once again. During the group therapy session, Cyborg (Joivan Wade) discovers there is a prophecy that says he will kill the entire team. Though Robotman (Brendan Fraser) stops Karen from getting married, Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero) has left her body.

Back at Doom Manor, Elasti-Girl (April Bowlby) and Robotman have brought back Crazy Jane but she’s not responding. Cyborg wonders if they can shrink themselves and get into Jane’s head. Just as Larry Trainor (Bomer) mocks the idea, the Negative Spirit pops out and puts Robotman in Jane’s tortured mind.

Elsewhere, Karen is being dragged back into the Underground. This where all of Jane’s personalities live but none of them look like her. Jane is responsible to hold the light and keep the equilibrium safe.

Because Jane doesn’t want to go back up, she tells Crazy 8 to stop the train. After meeting with Penny (Anna Lore), Jane needs an answer as to why she has to go back. The Sisters then instruct Jane to find her answers at The Well, where Miranda vanished.

Meanwhile, Robotman has been having problems of his own. Cliff is able to feel again and gets his human skin again in The Underground. Unfortunately, Hammerhead throws Cliff into a prison cell. Luckily, Penny is there to break him out and find Jane.

Penny is afraid to go to the dark place. In the childhood memory, Kay was just a little girl when her father sexually abused her. The trauma caused Kay’s mind to break and form Jane. Jane though doesn’t understand why she should go back.

Just as Jane is ready to kill herself at The Well, Robotman rescues her before she makes the jump. The monster living in The Well is actually her father. Robotman tells Jane to run before he is split apart.

Jane refuses to let her father ruin her life once again. Standing up for herself, Jane fights back and defeats the monster of her past. The Negative Spirit brings back Jane and Robotman in the end.

Though Crazy Jane is back in her physical body, the memory of her perverted father still haunts her mind.
