Following up with the success of Titans, DC Universe continues the first season of Doom Patrol, with Episode 2: Donkey Patrol, starring Matt Bomer and Brendan Fraser. Find out how this band of superhero weirdos teamed-up against the super villain known as Mr. Nobody (Alan Tudyk).
When we last left them, Eric Morden (Tudyk) had trapped The Chief (Timothy Dalton) inside a school bus. The Donkey released a fart into the air and a portal opened, sucking up the entire town of Cloverton. Robotman aka Cliff Steele (Fraser) manages to help save Elasti-Girl (April Bowlby) and Negative Man, also known as Larry Trainor (Bomer), from getting sucked in too.
Unfortunately, Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero) isn’t able to stop the bus from going inside the portal. Jane jumps inside just before the portal closes. As Robotman starts freaking out, Larry warns him; this what happens when they get involved.
After stopping a mugging, Cyborg (Joivan Wade) discovers the news about Cloverton. With the entire town gone, the FBI doesn’t even want to deal with its disappearance. Cyborg remembers how the Chief trained him alongside his father, Silas Stone (Phil Morris).
Upon arriving at Doom Manor, Cyborg finds Robotman looking for the donkey. Robotman explains the donkey is the key. While Negative Man fails to leave town, the donkey vomits out Crazy Jane. Unfortunately, Crazy Jane’s personalities stop Cyborg and Robotman from finding out what happened to the Chief.
While Robotman cares fo Crazy Jane, Cyborg manages to convince Negative Man and Elasti-Girl to help him. The donkey manages to take the trio to another dimension. This was all a trap as Mr. Nobody narrates their story, controlling their actions.
As Elasti-Girl finds herself back on set and Negative Man is flying again, Mr. Nobody spends his time torturing Cyborg. Because of his mother’s death, Cyborg pledged to himself to help others.
At that moment, the radioactive spirit senses his host, Larry, is in danger. The radioactive spirit comes crashing in through the dimension. The donkey explodes, sending the town back into its place and the others soaked in slime.
Cyborg convinces his father to let him stay at Doom Manor. Negative Man leaves a message for his radioactive spirit. The two need to set up some ground rules.
Crazy Jane has seen the future. Her painting is a prophecy; they are all going to die.
Doom Patrol continues Fridays on DC Universe.
