Disney+ continues the critically acclaimed series, The Mandalorian, with Chapter 6: The Prisoner, starring Pedro Pascal and Bill Burr. From the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior has emerged in the Star Wars Universe.
Now that every bounty hunter and mercenary is after The Child, The Mandalorian (Pascal) needs money to keep himself on the run. This is why he takes a job from an old acquaintance, Ran (Mark Boone Junior). With his crew, the Mandalorian has to retrieve a prisoner being held within the New Republic’s prison ship.
The crew includes Mayfeld (Bill Burr), a sharp-shooter from the Empire. The muscle of the crew is Burg (Clancy Brown) and the femme fatale, Xi’an (Natalia Tena). The Razor Crest, the Mandalorian’s ship, will be flown by a droid named Zero (Richard Ayoade).
Upon their arrival on the prison ship, Burg stumbles upon The Child. The Mandalorian starts to realize he is being setup when he gets attacked a group of droids and the rest of the crew does nothing. The prisoners inside the ship cheer as the Mandalorian wipes out the security droids.
While Zero attempts to unscramble the Mandalorian’s last received message, the Mandalorian ends up in a Mexican standoff against Burg and Mayfeld. The Mandalorian tries to protect the frightened guard, but Xi’an kills him with her blade. The Mandalorian then discovers a beeping alarm on the dead guard.
The clock starts ticking as the crew races across the hallways and finds their prisoner, Quin (Ismael Cruz Cordova). The Mandalorian is knocked out and forced to switch places with Quin. While the rest of the crew race back to the Crest, the Mandalorian rips out the arm of a security droid and unlocks himself from the cell.
With X-Wing fighters on the way, the Mandalorian takes out the crew one by one. After discovering about the Child, Zero starts looking for him throughout the chip. Just when the Child is about to get captured, the Mandalorian shoots Zero from behind.
The Mandalorian has returned back to Ran with Quin. After the Mandalorian gets paid, Ran is about fire his weapons at the Mandalorian’s Crest. Ran and Quin suddenly realize they’ve been backstabbed, the X-Wing fighters have arrived, blasting away ay them.
The rest of the Mandalorian’s crew is still inside the prison ship, trapped in a cell together.
