The Mandalorian, Disney

Disney+ continues the critically acclaimed series, The Mandalorian, with Chapter 5: The Gunslinger, starring Pedro Pascal and Ming Na-Wen. From the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior has emerged in the Star Wars Universe. 

Now that every bounty hunter and mercenary is after The Child, The Mandalorian (Pascal) finds his spaceship under attack. As his boat takes another hit, The Mandalorian finally makes his move and gets the upper-hand. He manages to shoot the flying ship out of the sky before losing power.

With engine failure, The Mandalorian lands his boat in the middle of the Mos Eisley spaceport. He meets a mechanic, Peli Motto (Amy Sedaris), who’s only interested in getting paid for her services. Realizing the ship needs repairs, The Mandalorian is going to need to take a job.

At a Cantina, The Mandalorian meets Toro (Jake Cannavale), a naive bounty hunter. Toto has a job for The Mandalorian; get the assassin known as Fennec Shand (Ming Na-Wen).  The Mandalorian gets the reward money and Toro gets the credit when they apprehend her. 

While the Child is safe with the mechanic, Toro and the Mandalorian races off on their speeder bikes. The two end up falling into a trap. Fennec has them pinned down as she fires away with her sniper rifle.   

The Mandalorian and Toro have to wait till night fall before they strike back. They blind Fennec with their flares as they make their way. The Mandalorian takes a hit to the chest, while Toro gets his butt handed to him by Fennec.

Still rising after getting shot, the Mandalorian finally puts a stop to Fennec. Unfortunately, Fennec knows the Mandalorian went rogue on a distant religion and kidnapped his target. While apprehended, Fennec tells Toro that the target is worth way more than her.

Because Fennec is worthless now, Toro has no more reason to keep her alive. Toro shoots her with his blaster at point-blank ranger. After spotting Fennec’s dead body, the Mandalorian knows the Child is in danger.

With the Child and Peli being held hostage, the Mandalorian gives up his blaster and raises his hands. Just when Peli is about tinplate the cuffs on him, the Mandalorian shoots out a flare and blinds Toro. The Mandalorian grabs his blaster and shoots back at Toro, killing him instantly.

As The Mandalorian files away in retreat, a mysterious figure finds Fennec’s dead body.
