Audiences can now see Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, on DVD and Blu-Ray thanks to Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. Bring home the modern classic as it becomes a cinematic event to watch with the entire family.
A beautiful and independent young woman, Belle (Emma Watson) is taken prisoner by The Beast (Dan Stevens). Locked away in his castle, Belle manages to fight her fears and befriend the enchanted staff. Despite the Beast’s hideous exterior, she will find the heart and soul of a true prince.
Here are 5 Reasons you should get Beauty and the Beast on DVD and Blu-Ray:
5. A Timeless Treasure!
This is a live-action remake of Disney’s 1991 animated film and a loose adaptation of Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont’s eighteenth-century fairy tale. Based off of two source materials, you can’t screw this up! As a bonus, the talented ensemble cast includes recognizable A-listers such as Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, and Emma Thompson.
4. Emma Watson!
The Harry Potter actress brings a new level feistiness and fierceness to the role. She does look incredible in the lavish wardrobe, including the iconic yellow dress. Showing off her range, the 27-year-old actress actually sings in five of the soundtrack’s songs, including “Belle,” “Days in the Sun,” and “Something There.”
3. Dan Stevens!
The British actor demonstrated he was quite the chameleon in the horror/thriller The Guest. Joining the X-Men franchise, Stevens is quite captivating as the leading man in Legion. He continues to deliver a captivating performance, even while wearing a 40-lb. bodysuit.
2. Bill Condon!
It was so wonderful to see Ian McKellan reunite with his Gods and Monsters director! The Dreamgirls director is quite at ease when he has to capture the beautiful singing and dance choreography on camera.
