After taking the spotlight at the recent New York Comic Con, Hulu has released the official trailer to the highly anticipated sci-fi teen drama, Marvel’s Runaways. Teen angst takes a twisted turn when the parents are the bad guys with superpowers.

Based on the popular comic book by writer Brian K. Vaughan and artist Adrian Alphona, the series follows super-powered teens rebelling against their super-villain parents. Every teenager thinks their parents are evil. These 6 teenagers are about to discover that their folks actually are.

Here are 5 Easter Eggs in the official trailer from Marvel’s Runaways:

5) They’re Wearing Red!

The evil parents are part of the notorious super-villain group known The Pride. The teens discover about the crime ring when they stumble upon their secret lair. We see the adults wearing their bright red robes, a similar outfit seen in Hulu’s other drama, The Handmaid’s Tale.

4) Spike The Vampire With A Soul!

After playing the same vampire in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, James Marsters will now play Victor Stein, the father of Chase Stein (Gregg Sulkin). What was shocking in the comics was how his character was commentary on child abuse. Victor Stein physically punches Chase in the face and mocks him for his bad grades.

3) There’s A Dinosaur Here!

Old Lace makes a cameo appearance in the trailer, showing off its sharp fangs. We’ll wait and see if the show will follow the comics. How close will Old Lace will be to Gertrude Yorkes (Ariela Barer) aka Arsenic.

2) Pride & Joy!

The footage to the pilot appears to be following Vaughan and Alphona’s first volume, entitled Pride And Joy. It’ll be interested to see what showrunners Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (Gossip Girl) follow from the comics and where they make their changes for the upcoming 10 episodes.

1) The Soundtrack Is Going To Be Lit!

The song playing in the background is “Seas Castle” by Purity Ring.
