Returning with another installment containing more plot twists and action than usual, NBC continues Blindspot Season 3 with the Episode 10: Balance of Might. Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) are back together solving the cases behind the mystery tattoos.
After being told they were coming to America, Roman (Luke Mitchell) warns a group of refugees that they were in immediate danger. Edgar Reade (Rob Brown) is with Megan (Reshma Shetty) when she receives a message from the same refugees in hiding. Knowing Roman is involved and putting his fiancee in danger, Reade has to step in and help Megan with her investigation.
While Kurt is unable to reach Jane on the phone, Tasha (Audrey Esparza), and Patterson (Ashley Johnson) are putting together the clues to the latest tattoo. The One World Alliance has been fast-tracking visas for refugees because the company is a scam. Saya (Jim True-Frost) has been transporting refugees and using them for his illegal means.
With Megan and the refugees, Reade finds himself in a shootout when some men with guns arrive. Jane finally arrives with the team to save Reade and the others. With the clock ticking, Saya still needs the refugees dead before the FBI stumbles upon his latest terrorist attack.
Saya’s plan is to bomb a political convention, framing a group of innocent refugees in the process. With Patterson working the surveillance cameras, Jane and Kurt reluctantly work together to stop the detonation. Though Jane and Kurt ended up saving the day, it’s not enough to bring them together.
Reade celebrates with Megan as her report lands on the front page of her newspaper. Unfortunately, Reade understands this means more work for Megan and less time on their relationship. He even admitted to Tasha that he loves Megan, especially now that they’re living together.
Elsewhere, Roman continues to his romance with Blake Crawford (Tori Anderson). Because he has feelings for Blake, Victor (Anthony Lemke) attempts to break them apart. Roman manages to persuade Blake into sex as Victor’s bout with jealousy backfires on him.
The case brings back past memories of Jane and a steamy tryst with a former lover, Clem (Steve Kazee). Because she’s in so much pain, Jane is actually thinking about cheating on Kurt. She ends up at his hotel door when Clem reveals he’s in New York just for her.
Meanwhile, Patterson shows Kurt a video of Avery (Kristina Reyes) accepting bribe money from Roman (Luke Mitchell). All this time, Roman has been setting him up.
Blindspot continues Fridays at 8m on NBC.
