From Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Season 6 of USA Network’s popular drama, Suits, arrives in stores on DVD. Ramping up the drama, Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht continue to hit their stride as slick lawyers Mike Ross and Harvey Specter.
After signing a plea deal to spare his colleagues, Mike Ross (Adams) finds himself in prison life and he starts his two-year sentence. Meanwhile, the Pearson Specter & Litt office struggles to keep business afloat after the departure of their partners. With the scandal affecting the firm, Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres), Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman), Donna Paulson (Sarah Rafferty) and Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle) attempt to save the firm. Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) is on his own personal mission to bend the rules and get Mike released from prison.
5. The Change In Formula
If you’re looking for a show that’s not a revival, Suits is the one for you! Season six allowed the series to change its own formula from a lawyer drama and pushed its characters to evolve. Though the on-screen chemistry between Adams and Macht was missing because they were separated, every time we got to see them together was such a reward.
4. Woman Power!
Meghan Markle stepped up as a supporting character with her own story arc. The arc was kind of cliche, with Rachel Zane racing to save a man before his execution date. Markle steps up her A-Game because all her scenes included Gina Torres by her side. They take the mentor/protege relationship to a whole new level!
3. The Painting!
My personal favorite episode of this season is The Painting. This is the episode where we finally meet Harvey’s mother. Brynn Thayer played Lily Specter, the wife who cheated on her husband and asked her son to lie about it. Machet delivers a heart-breaking performance as Harvey attempts to forgive his own mother.
2. P.S.L.
This is the episode that broke every fan’s heart. Gina Torres says goodbye to Jessica Pearson, who played such a pivotal part of the show. The show continued to evolve, as Harvey and Louis Litt (Hoffman) tried to figure out how to run the firm without her. Hopefully the rumors are true, especially with The Catch canceled, and we’ll see Torres back as Pearson in her Suits spinoff.
