Before the second season premiere of Shooter, actor Ryan Phillippe flexes his muscles and shows off his ripped abs on the cover of Men’s Fitness. Phillippe dishes on the workouts and exercises he has to ensure in order to stay healthy at the young age of 42.

According to the official website of Men’s Fitness, the Secrets And Lies actor has landed on the cover of the June 2017 issue. The cover story reveals what it means to be a strong father. The 5′ 9″ actor explains how being the lead star of your own show needs to stay fit, while handling the responsibilities of parenthood at the same time.

5. On Sticking To His Discipline

The Cruel Intentions actor describes his daily routine, ”Whether I’m doing a movie or TV show or not, I’ve worked out five days a week, 1 1/2 hours a day, for the past 20 years.”

The One Life To Live actor is currently developing his envisioned app. This fitness app will help average men become as healthy and fit as he is.

3. The Become App

“I and others like me have worked with some of the best trainers, nutritionists, and doctors,” Phillippe adds. “We’re going to take all that work away for our users—men over 40 who want to stay fit and look young. The Become app will cut through and simplify.”

2. What’s Shooter About?

Based off Stephen Hunter’s novel, Point of Impact, and the 2007 film starring Mark Wahlberg,  the second season of Shooter follows the adventures of Bob Lee Swagger (Phillippe). After the Force Recon Marine proved himself innocent of a crime he didn’t commit, his newest mission takes him abroad to Europe, facing world politics on a global scale.
