USA Network continues Season 7 with Episode 2: The Statue of their popular drama, Suits. Back in their fan-favorite roles, Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht return as slick lawyers Mike Ross and Harvey Specter.

As their relationship heats up, Harvey Specter (Macht) wakes up in bed with his former therapist, Dr. Paula Agard (Christina Cole). They make plans for another date before Harvey goes back to the office.

While Mike Ross (Adams) takes on his first pro bono case, Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) tries to deal with his breakup and sees his own therapist, Dr. Lipschitz (Ray Proscia). Litt is still reeling from the loss of having a child, wondering when his next chance of being a father will be.

Katrina Bennett (Amanda Schull) is shocked to hear that Donna Paulson (Sarah Rafferty) has been named partner at the firm. Harvey meets with Alex Williams (Dulé Hill) and asks to join his firm. Alex will only join if he gets to be named partner, which only cause problems for Donna and Louis.

Mike deals with the widower and his legal case against an insurance firm. In court, the prosecutor brings up the facts that Mike pretended to be a lawyer without a license. Even after being made a fool of, Mike struggles to keep his client, who has his own doubts of winning the case.

As the arguments continue, Harvey travels to see Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres). The deal with Alex is ruined  after Louis attempts to poach his client. Jessica threatens Harvey to see if he has the guts to remove her name from the firm.

Mike goes to Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle) for help and asks her to take over the case. Harvey argues Mike cannot keep running every time someone brings up the past. Mike has to take control of the narrative and remind people he is a fraudulent lawyer seeking redemption.

Katrina reminds Harvey that Donna isn’t a lawyer; she bought her partnership. Being partner should matter at a firm like theirs. Donna demands a higher position and becomes COO. Harvey rejects his offer to Alex, but the two friends actually want to work with each other.

Louis reveals to his therapist that he feels threatened by Alex’s friendship with Harvey. Litt then tells Harvey that their friendship matters so much to him. He wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize their business either.

Mike has his standoff with the prosecutor who embarrassed him. He is able to prove the insurance firm has been avoiding paying off their claims. After wiping the floor with the lawyer, Mike continues on his road to redemption with a New York Times reporter.

Harvey makes a call to Jessica and offers his apology as he puts his legs on top of her former desk.

Suits continues on USA Network Wednesdays at 9pm.
