USA Network continues the final Season 9 of Suits, starring Gabriel Macht and Katherine Heigl, with Episode 2, Special Master. Find out how Harvey Specter (Macht) and Samantha Wheeler (Heigl) deal with the consequences with Robert Zane leaving.
After the fallout from Robert Zane, Faye Richardson (Denise Cosby) has been sent by the New York Bar Association to take control of the firm. Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) aren’t really too happy with her watching their every move. Faye has the authority to fire them, approve their cases, and how they spend their resources.
Louis is so stressed out that he doesn’t have time to celebrate Harvey and Donna (Sarah Rafferty) being together. Harvey is trying to figure to a way to get rid of Faye. Louis doesn’t give the order but he technically tells Ben about hacking into the the New York Bar Association.
Faye wants to clear up the matter between the firm and Thomas Kessler. Wanting to keep Kessler out of the picture, Donna has to reveal to Faye about their previous relationship. After hearing out Donna, Faye decides to cancel her interview with Thomas.
A revisit from an old friend, Samantha discovers Lucas is suffering from post-dramatic stress, but his doctors have covered up his diagnosis. With Faye overlooking everyone’s shoulders, Samantha ends up asking for help from Katrina (Amanda Schull).
Debating about how to help Lucas, Samantha could take the settlement offer. But Katrina points out that Lucas really does need treatment. After working up a contract, Samantha convinces Lucas to get the professional help; he doesn’t have to handle this alone.
Alex (Dulé Hill) and Louis decide to share some time together. They both let loose some of their pent-up anger by going bowling together. The two might have been able to have nice friendship if things hadn’t taken a turn for the worst.
After finding out what Ben was supposed to hack, Faye starts a yelling match with Louis. She argues with him in front of his employees, making matters worse. As soon as she leaves, Louis then takes his anger out on Ben.
After wanting to fire Ben, Louis ends up arguing with Donna and Harvey. While taking a vote, Harvey and Donna end up agreeing on the same thing. Louis is correct when he says Harvey is only siding with Donna because they’re in a relationship.
Under scrutiny, Louis has to make a difficult choice. Either resign or give up being Managing Partner.
