Season 2 Episode 9, Titans

DC Universe continues the critically acclaimed Titans with Season 2, Episode 9: Atonement, starring Brenton Thwaites and Teagan Croft. After the first season finale, Dick Grayson (Thawites) hopes to train Raven (Croft) and Beast Boy (Ryan Potter) as new members to the new superhero team he’s trying to rebuild.

Dick Grayson finally tells Jason Todd (Curran Walters) and the others the truth. Jericho wasn’t dead at the church; Deathstroke killed his son, who was protecting Grayson. Dick’s night comes true as the entire team splits.

Starfire is reluctant to leave, but Faddei has returned from his cell. Starfire’s sister, Blackfire, sent her royal goon squad to kill them. While on the run, Faddei ends up being infected by an alien blob and becomes mind-controlled by Blackfire.

While Hawk (Alan Ritchson) and Dove (Minka Kelly) try to make a new life for themselves, Raven accuses Donna Troy (Connor Leslie) of being like Grayson and keeping half-truths. Raven uses her powers to give Donna the slip; leaving Beast Boy (Potter) alone to take care of Superboy (Joshua Orpin).

Gar tries to make a routine as he waits for Conner to wake up. After reading to Conner and petting Krypto for manny days, Gar is starting to think Conner will never wake up. All of sudden, Conner is standing next Gar naked; wondering where Eve went.

After a night of karaoke, Hawk and Dove are visited Ellis’ sister. They are just like Grayson; letting someone in their charge die. Ellis’ sister promises to make their life a living hell; one day at a time.

Beast Boy gives Conner a tour of Titans Tower, thinking he should be one of them. Conner though is afraid the bad part of him will take over. Meanwhile, Starfire has to kill Faddei in order to release him from Blackfire’s control.

Elsewhere, Grayson pays a visit to Jericho’s mother. She will not take his apology; she only has pain for him. Waiting for Grayson at her home is Deathstroke sitting in his chair, claiming victory.

After losing his family, Deathstroke wanted to make sure Grayson lost his as well. Grayson’s punishment is to be alone for the rest of his life. Deathstroke promises to kill every single Titan if they ever get back together.

Hawk realizes being with Dove continues a cycle of pain. The world is a better place with them apart from each other. Hawk then drives away and returns to his old ways of drinking.

While taking Conner across San Francisco, Beast Boy shows off his powers and changes into a tiger.  All of sudden, Conner spots two cops beating up a suspect. Conner gets involved  and takes down the police. After a massive shootout, Conner ends up burning down a cop car with his heat vision.

At an airport, Grayson starts a fight with the police, so that he can be arrested for his crimes.
