Showtime continues Twin Peaks: The Return with the newest airing of Episode 13: What Story is That, Charlie? In the thirteenth episode, original stars, Kyle MacLachlan and Mädchen Amick, reunite along with new faces in the continuation of David Lynch’s mystery/crime drama.

After the return of Audrey Horne (Sherilyn Fenn), Evil Dale (MacLachlan) finally discovers where Ray has been hiding. But in order to get to Ray, he has to go through his gang and their leader. Evil Dale arm-wrestles with the leader and kills him after winning.

Evil Dale gets the upper-hand and shoots Ray in the leg. Unable to move, Ray confesses Philip Jeffries hired him to kill Evil Dale. After Ray gives up the coordinates, Evil Dale shoots him in the head.

Richard Horne (Eamon Farren) sees Evil Dale on the screen and looks at him as if he recognizes the face. Elsewhere, Janey-E Jones (Naomi Watts) has been waiting for Cooper/Dougie’s return. Casino owners Bradley (Jim Belushi) and Bobby Mitchum (Robert Knepper) bring back Dougie to work and celebrate their deal.

Now with a new car, Janey and Dale watch as their son play with his new swing set. At work though, Anthony Sinclair (Tom Sizemore) gets new orders to kill Dougie. After failing to poison Dougie, Anthony confesses to their boss about the crooked dealings he has made.

At The Double R Diner, Shelly gets ca call from Becky (Amanda Seyfried), who cannot find Steve. Shelly promises to make things betters and offers to feed her daughter the dessert she likes. Shelly cheers up her daughter and makes plans to see her later.

At home, Laura Palmer’s mother, Sarah Palmer (Grace Zabriskie), watches a boxing match on TV repeat endlessly on a loop. Later at the Double R Diner, Deputy Bobby Briggs (Dana Ashbrook) attempts to bump into his wife but ends up meeting with Big Ed Hurley (Everett McGill). While having lunch together, Bobby notices Ed still has feelings for Norma, even after she has moved on with a new love.

While Nadine Hurley (Wendy Robie) and Dr. Jacoby (Russ Tamblyn) have their reunion, Norma (Peggy Lipton) meets with her new boyfriend, who happens to be a slick businessman. He is very interested in franchising her diner. Unfortunately, business has to meet profit and sacrifices have to be made. Norma has to think about renaming the Double R Diner to Norma’s Diner.

As Audrey suffers an existential crisis as she searches for her son, James Hurley (James Marshall) performs “Just You” to a packed crowd at The Roadhouse. James sings the song he wrote for Laura Palmer. Just like Donna did before, a woman in the crowd cries after listening to the lyrics.

As the crowd applauds James’ performance, Ed sits in the dark at his gas station, waiting for business to come.

Twin Peaks: The Return continues Sundays at 9pm on Showtime.
