USA Network has announced the official premiere date for Season 8 of the popular lawyer drama, Suits, starring Gabriel Macht and Katherine Heigl. With Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) leaving the firm, is lawyer Harvey Specter (Macht) ready to get back and take on an new court case?

During the seventh season finale, Mike (Adams) and Rachel (Meghan Markle) had their long overdue wedding before leaving the firm. Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) saved the day and became the firm’s new partner, alongside Specter and Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman). Elsewhere, Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) has set foot in Chicago to reunite with her long-lost family, while taking on a crooked politician and a shady real estate developer.

Here are 5 reasons why we’re excited for the Suits Season 8 premiere:

5) Making her Entrance!

Making her entrance in the teaser, Heigl introduced herself as Samantha Wheeler, who wants to be known by her name and not by the nickname, “Sam.” In the footage, possibly from the premiere, Samantha (Hiegl) wants to named partner and gives Harvey a deadline.

4) The First Look!

According to Entertainment Weekly, Samantha Wheeler is described as a fierce and enigmatic lawyer. Donna (Sarah Rafferty) has always prided herself on her ability to read people, but this time around, she can’t quite put her finger on Wheeler.

3) Donna Vs. Samantha!?!

Heigl mentions there will be an uneasy dynamic between her character Donna (Sarah Rafferty) “The fact that Donna can’t quite put her finger on Samantha is really fun to play.” The Suits actress continues “Our first scene together was just like that — she’s trying to figure out Samantha, and Samantha’s not really giving much of anything away.”

2) An Absence Felt!?

How will Harvey deal with the absence of his best friend, Mike (Adams) and his co-worker, Rachel (Meghan Markle)? Suits fans already know Harvey doesn’t do very well with change. Is Donna enough for Harvey to pull through?

1) A Suits Reunion!

Though gone but not forgotten, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been invited by Gabriel Macht and Jacinda Barrett to stay at their home in Noosa, located on the southern Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. According to Bustle, The newlyweds will be attending the 2018 Invictus Games, held in Sydney, Australia starting October 20th.

Suits will return for the Season 8 premiere on July 18, 2018.
