With captivating visuals, Isola #3 (Image Comics) is a thrilling and spectacular read that enriches its intriguing narrative with mythology. With every page drawn quite cinematically, Isola continues to do an incredible job at world-building!

Olwyn and Rook’s paths  have suddenly diverged. One companion ends up on a hidden road to discovery. And the other is heading straight into the jaws of death.

Here are 5 reasons why you should read Isola #3:

5) What Happened Before!

In the first installment, captain of the Royal Guard has fled the capital city with the Queen of Maar. Following orders, Captain Rook has to carry on with the queen towards a location that may not even exist. Unfortunately, the captain has been separated from the Queen!

4) A Fantastic Experiment!

Writers Brenden Fletcher and Karl Kerschl mange to keep two storylines flowing at a gripping pace. At the edge of a cliff, Captain Rook finds herself hostage after a truth from her past is revealed. Elsewhere, the Queen is on a surreal journey of self-discovery that dives into mysticism. The lettering by Aditya Booker heightens the tension during their confrontations.

3) The Artwork!

Notice how artists Karl Kerschl  and Msassyk mix the grounded elements of the adventure subplot with surrealism. At the climax, Captain Rook finds herself traveling deep into a hallucinatory landscape with werewolf hybrids. There’s even a human being with a bear’s head on top!

2) The Colors!

The two storylines have completely different looks. The surrealistic visuals are draped in blue and purple tones. The adventure tale has a greenish vibe because of the background and outfits.

1) A Remarkable Work!

Overall, Isola #3 stands out as a mythical adventure with surreal imagery! I can’t wait to see how the story progresses after that shocking cliffhanger!
