Jam-packed with so much action and suspense, Livewire #4 (Valiant Entertainment) delivers an epic adventure with superhero fun. After its shocking cliffhanger, Livewire continues to add twists and turns from its fearsome antagonist, Pan de Santos.

Once, Livewire dreamed of devoting herself to the betterment of humankind. Now, her most steadfastly held ideals are about to be tested like never before as she struggles to stay alive in the clutches of a fearsome new foe! But who is the mysterious psiot mercenary hunting her…and more importantly, who do they work for?

Here are 5 reasons why you should get Livewire #4:

5) What Happened Before!

After choosing the few over the many, Amanda McKee must now outrun the government she served – and those she once called allies. With the whole world hunting her, what kind of hero will Livewire be…or will she be one at all? Amanda finally met her match as she lost in hand-to-hand combat battle with Pan de Santos.

4) The Writing!

Since the first installment, writer Vita Ayala has done a fantastic job showcasing the intense action and developing Amanda’s character arc. Pan de Santos continues his torture of Livewire, mixing memories with mistakes. Notice how letterer Saida Temofonte bolds the words “good” and “fear” to demonstrate how Pan is messing with Amanda’s head, taunting her during their fight.

3) The Artwork!

I love how artists Raúl Allén and Patricia Martín heighten Livewire’s emotional wallop through closeups. You really see the pain and anguish through her facial expressions. Readers are definitely going to be hooked with the action, from the head-butts to the roundhouse kicks!

2) The Colors!

Notice how the color palette heightens the action blending pink and purple shades. This same vivid tones are brightened during flashbacks. In other pages, Pan de Santos’ eyes turn bright white when he starts his mind-torture games.

1) A Fun Read!

An engaging and fun read, Livewire #4 moves along at a fast pace to a jaw-dropping conclusion! I really loved the first arc of the Livewire series!
