Post DVD, Merly Streep

Fox Home Entertainment brings the critically acclaimed political thriller, The Post, starring Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks, onto DVD and Blu-Ray. With a must-see ensemble cast, director Steven Spielberg time-jumps into the 1970s, recreating The Washington Post newsroom during a divisive moment in history.

A cover-up that spanned four U.S. Presidents pushes the country’s first female newspaper publisher, Kay Graham (Meryl Streep), and Ben Bradlee (Tom Hanks), a hard-driving editor to join forces. Together, they become involved in an unprecedented battle between the press and the government.

Here are 5 reasons why you should get The Post on Blu -Ray and DVD:

5) Spielberg’s A TV Junkie!

Spielberg watches a lot of TV shows when he’s not directing. You have Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), Matthew Rhys (The Americans) and Carrie Coon (The Leftovers), Zach Woods (Silicon Valley), and and Alison Brie (GLOW) in the ensemble cast. So awesome to see my favorite TV stars in a big-budget feature film!

4) The Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul Crossover!

And speaking of television, Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) and Jesse Plemons (Breaking Bad) have an integral scene together as their characters, Ben Bagdikian and Roger Clark. It’s quite a suspenseful scene with tension-filled dialogue! Notice the moving camerawork as Spielberg captures both gripping performances in one dramatic take.

3) Alison Brie!

Meryl Streep is amazing in everything she does! It’s why you need someone who will bring their A-game to the scene. Brining warmth and heart to her role, Alison Brie (Mad Men) holds her own as Lally Graham, the daughter of Kay Graham (Streep). In my opinion, Brie should have gotten more praise for her stunning performance.

2) Best Journalism In Film!

Just like All The President’s Men, The Post is quite timely, exposing the corruption behind higher power. History appears to repeat itself asThe Post screenplay by Liz Hannah and Josh Singer reflects our idiot-in-chief’s blatant and cowardly attacks on the press.
