Shudder has set the premiere date for the hardcore and pulpy revenge thriller, Mandy, starring Nicolas Cage and Andrea Riseborough. Metalheads, horror fans, and movie lovers have to see director Panos Cosmatos’ action/revenge movie on this streaming service.
Pacific Northwest. 1983 AD. Outsiders Red Miller (Nicolas Cage) and Mandy Bloom (Andrea Riseborough) lead a loving and peaceful existence. When their pine-scented haven is savagely destroyed by a cult led by the sadistic Jeremiah Sand (Linus Roache), Red is catapulted into a phantasmagoric journey filled with bloody vengeance and laced with fire.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the horror streaming service announced it will premiere the Nicolas Cage-starring thriller. Cage describes working on the movie after coming off a broken ankle, “Oddly enough, the stunt work actually helped with my recovery, because it got me using those muscles again, and got me functioning again, whereas I’d been in a wheelchair for three months.”
4) The Music!
The late Johann Johannsson melded horror with heavy metal for his final score. The Icelandic composer worked with guitarist Stephen O’Malley of the group Sunn O) and the soundtrack was co-produced by top metal producer Randall Dunn. Johannsson created am industrial-metal sound that matches the dark. violent tone
