5) What Happened Before!

The Black Ghost #4

The city is abuzz about a mysterious new vigilante – claiming to be the new Black Ghost! But can Lara keep her new side gig a secret as she quickly realizes that the tentacles of the Creighton underworld fight back? Ragged and desperate, Lara must call every ounce of her reserves to uncover the truth behind the mysterious figure pulling the strings behind the city’s criminal landscape.

4) The Writing!

In a character-driven installment, writers Alex Segura and Monica Gallagher focuses on Lara’s struggle with sobriety. As a flawed protagonist, Lara discovers what happens when bine drinking gets in the way of helping others. Letterer Taylor Esposito focuses on Lara’s path towards redemption as she attempts to clean herself up.

3) The Action!

Artist George Kambadais does a fantastic job spotlighting Lara’s alcohol addiction. Notice how the artwork resembles a rack focus shot, as Lara drunkenly attempts to read her own writing. Lara’s desperation to find clues on the case and stay sober is captured in closeups.

2) The Colors!

The colors by Ellie Wright heightens the grounded costume Lara wears as the Black Ghost. Resembling a boxer, Lara covers her face with her gray hoodie and wraps her hands with white bandages.
