The final match of the month centers around Johnny Gargano, aka Johnny Wrestling. The underdog finally makes it to NXT after years on the independent scene, but can he survive the shark-filled waters at Full Sail? Meanwhile, MMA fighter Shayna Baszler makes the move to WWE, and immediately leaves wreckage everywhere she goes.

NXT became WWE’s third global brand, which became the launching pad to Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair, Braun Strowman, Alexa Bliss and many more! In The Blueprint, Dusty Rhodes was the omniscient narrator who occasionally broke the fourth wall and jumped into the wrestling ring. In Proving Ground, Samoa Joe struggles finding the motivation to get in the ring. Into the Fire demonstrated how Paige and Asuka will stop at nothing to prove their point.
4) The Writing!
What I love about writer Dennis Hopeless is how he dives into Aleister Black’s disgruntled and disillusioned personality. Black feels like he’s just going to through the motion just to get to the championship. Letterer Jim Campbell captures the unbridled rage lurking within Black’s narration.
3) The Artwork!
Artist Rodrigo Lorenzo perfect illustrates Black’s distaste for dealing with unworthy opponents. In just one wide shots, Lorenzo captures all the wrestling action inside the ring. Black proves he is actually better than his opponent, while enjoying the beatdown he gives.
2) The Colors!
Notice how colorist Wesllei Manoel captures both sides of the lighting in one split-screen shot. In my favorite panel, Black is standing inside the stadium, while William Regal stands outside. There is a blue tone that separates them.
